Pachulia started playing basketball at an early age in Georgia. He was approximately {{convert|6|ft|8|in|m|abbr=off|sp=us}} at the age of 13. He was scouted and recruited by the Turkish professional team Ãœlkerspor when he was a teenager. Once he distinguished himself with Ãœlkerspor, Pachulia was drafted in the second round by the Orlando Magic during the 2003 NBA draft.

Milwaukee Bucks (2004–2005)
