Introducing GetWiki 3.0
GetWiki 3.0
For the 20th Anniversary of GetWiki, GetWiki 3.0 is a simplified 2024 version of GetWiki 2.0, focused as a publishing platform rather than a discussion forum or inwardly focused wiki. The new iteration integrates multi-site hosting further into the traditional wiki website, and further standardizes the function library within the codebase. 3.0 sports numerous improvements to the parsing of WikiCode, and of course, 3.0 still utilizes blue and green links to initiate XML import of Wiki content as provided by other sites, the feature which defined GetWiki from the beginning.
Debuting in 2004, GetWiki has always been about doing wiki differently than the mainstream sites. Unlike the grand social experiment (and failures) of WikiDemocracy, GetWiki.net has been focused on becoming a small collection of focused, accurate, expert-led articles in Philosophy and related subjects. By using a simplified wiki structure, a smaller site can be all about the content.
