GetWiki 2.0 is stable and in use on this wiki, "GetWiki". However, updating your GetWiki 1.0 installation to the latest code is not yet possible. 2.0 is continually being tweaked, and already has many enhancements and changes from 1.0. It will be available at a later date.

new account/login requirement
The (Wiki:Login|login) page now
requires a unique email address to make an account, and the cookies are now set for 3 years (instead of one month) when you check the "keep me logged in" feature. Otherwise, your login only lasts while your browser is open, just as before. Existing logins are not affected. Please comment here if you have problems. -

...also, email validation is
required now. Each account can only be intialized with a unique email address (even if several are done at once and none of those accounts are validated), and accounts must be validated via the message sent out (just as many other sites now require) before it can ever be used (even before it is inserted into the existing "users" list). Also, you can no longer change the email address in your preferences to an existing address used by someone else, whether they are an existing user or one yet to be validated.
These and other security features have been developed to combat random vandalism and "sock" abuse, and in no way prevent honest contributors from contributing. -
