Know of any goings-on in the meta-worlds of philosophy to software, logical standards to internet standards, metaphysics to metadata?? Post them here (in the forums)!

what happened to "wiki"?

The Pseudopedia is finally getting the negative mainstream attention it has deserved for years, due in whole to its own failed policies. However, the rest of the WikiSphere also seems to be paying the price, and many people in the audience are just tuning out. Does anybody care about Wikis anymore? -proteus 12:59, 16 Sep 2007 (EDT)

email registration works

Anyone who can't validate their intended account by checking their own email, can't edit here. So, after recent waves of spammer/vandals have NOT been able to do their thing (making a bunch of fake accounts and vandalizing pages), I'm (cautiously) happy to say the email registration thing really works to help keep this place tidy. It's an extra step to take for those of us with honest intentions, but the new feature has done wonders in keeping the number of fake accounts at bay, and acts as a "honeypot" for spammer-used email addresses and usernames (they can't be used again). -proteus 11:29, 3 May 2008 (EDT)

added privacy

More WikiAssumptions from The Pseudopedia have been abandoned (more to come). So, if you're not logged in here, you can't see the stats, recent edits, list of users or blocked users. Why that stuff was ever made public is unclear to me, and in continued migration to the new GetWiki, even the blocked users will be invisible to regular users, even logged in. The Pseudopedia is fundamentally based on making value judgements about people. GetWiki is about the content. -proteus 13:34, 6 Jul 2008 (EDT)
